Loved by pet owners Australia wide.

I researched most of the pet insurance companies in Australia before I brought my pup home. Apart from the great comprehensive coverage Petsy offers, when talking to the customer service team, in my opinion, I feel they treat me as a friend and not just a customer. My money is well invested with Petsy and I have total confidence that my pup will be looked after should I need to make a claim ! ๐Ÿ™‚ย

Craig, March 2023

I hunted around for Pet Insurance, when I adopted a 5year old retired breeding dog. I read reviews on here for various companies and was swayed by the reviews of Petsy. My experience has lived up to the high rating. The online quoting system is easy to navigate. I love that they offer a "pre-existing assessment" in the cooling off period - no waiting until you need to claim to find what the small print says. As a result I dropped an option off my cover and received a refund of it for the first month (deducted from second month). Truly individual customer service with very supportive and knowledgeable people. Quick with replies to queries. Very happy to recommend.

Liz, NSW, April 2023

Petsy were patient and thorough as I worked out my new puppyโ€™s insurance. They answered all my questions and the online process was seamless. Very happy with no sub limits as well. Highly recommended.

Petsy has ZERO SUB LIMITS

What is a sub limit?

Also known as a โ€œcondition limitโ€ or โ€œper incident limitโ€, a sub limit acts as a ceiling limiting claims made on a pet insurance policy per year (period of insurance), for treating certain conditions.

A sub limit adds an extra limit on certain veterinary expenses, common examples include limits on cruciate ligament surgery, hip dysplasia, dental illness and/or vet consultations. Having no sub limits means that there will be no extra limits placed on any veterinary expenses if you choose Petsy, enabling you to be able to claim up to (a maximum) of $5,000, $10,000 or $25,000 per year (period of insurance).

Petsy Pet Insurance may provide you peace of mind when the unexpected happens

What is Pet Insurance?

Glad you asked! Petsy Pet insurance is a policy that reimburses vet costs you incur for the treatment of your pet if they suffer an unexpected injury or illness (provided these occur after any applicable exclusion period has ended).

Whilst having Petsy Pet Insurance doesnโ€™t make an illness or injury go away, it does soften the financial impact and may make it easier for you to access veterinary care for your pet without money being the sole deciding factor.

Petsy Pet insurance covers a wide range of conditions/illnesses from ear infections to diabetes, all the way through to cancer treatment and the cost of x-rays and surgery if for example, your pet has gastrointestinal problems. Your Petsy Pet Insurance policy may come in handy if your pet accidentally breaks a bone or is hurt by a car, or if they accidentally eat something dangerous, they shouldnโ€™t have.

Itโ€™s important to protect the ones that are important to you, and no-one wants to be in a position where they are unable to meet the veterinary cost for their pet following an unexpected incident. Having Petsy Pet Insurance can mean that you and your furry friend can have peace of mind, even when life gets tough, and things donโ€™t go as planned.

What the policy doesnโ€™t cover

Petsy Pet Insurance is designed to provide cover for the vet costs of treatment that is required to relieve or cure an unexpected illness or injury.

Pre-existing Conditions

Treatment of conditions that have occurred, have shown signs or symptoms and/or you knew about the condition (or a reasonable person in the circumstances could be expected to have known) prior to purchasing your policy or during an applicable exclusion period are considered Pre-existing Conditions, and are not covered.

Made for the unexpected

Preventative and routine items & treatments, such as general check-ups and vaccinations, things you would expect to do in order to keep your pet healthy, and elective procedures (including desexing) are not covered.

Exclusion Periods apply

An exclusion period is the amount of time during which no benefit is payable under the policy and this means you cannot claim for vet costs for treatment your pet receives in relation to an illness or injury which occurs during a exclusion period. In addition any condition that occurs, has shown signs or symptoms and/or you come to know about it during a exclusion period, will meet the definition of a Pre-existing Condition and will therefore be excluded from your cover.

Exclusion periods apply from the time your policy starts, even if you have decided to switch to Petsy Pet Insurance from another providerโ€™s pet insurance policy, and also if you upgrade your level of cover with Petsy.

The current exclusion periods are:

What the policy covers

It may include but not limited to reasonable and customary hospitalisation, surgery, x-rays, medication, diagnostic tests, nursing and other care and procedures.

Were you aware that vet bills and examination fees can creep up quickly after an illness or emergency?

Cancer treatment that includes removing tumours can cost up to $15,000; even diabetes medication can cost you $1,200 a year.

Insurance is the one thing we pay for that we hope we never need to use. But when needed, pet owners are relieved to have it.

Pet Insurance can play an important role in helping you support your pet with the care that they need if something unexpectedly goes wrong.
